    Feedback Due | Rate of Change of Frequency (RoCoF) Stakeholder Survey

    Purpose

    The AESO is conducting a survey on considerations related to the Rate of Change of Frequency (RoCoF) as part of the planned actions outlined in the 2023 Reliability Requirements Roadmap(External link) (2023 R3). Our goal is to assess the equipment limitations, protection settings and risks associated with RoCoF during system-wide frequency events. The participation of existing generation facility owners (GFOs) is vital for us to accurately define these risks. We also welcome feedback from project developers, Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), and consultants. The survey is open from December 11, 2024, through February 28, 2025.
